It is not far from Radda in Chianti, on the deviation leading to Badiaccia a Montemuro. Not far from there, Montevertine deserves a visit, especially because in the homonymous farm there is the “Small Museum of Chianti”, open to the public all the year round on request. This small but precious ethnographic museum opened in 1979 on the initiative of the farm owner, Sergio Manetti, ex iron and steel industrialist. Year after year, Manetti has gathered any type of recyclable material to set up what is now a real museum of the country civilisation of Chianti. Objects of family life and farming and craft production of the rural world are displayed according to their use. Among all, we point out a vine trunk lived more than 400 years ago, many objects to make wine and a press dated 1881.
