Between the areas of Pisa and Lucca, the Park San Rossore offers many alternatives that include walking, cycling, carriage rides and horseback riding. Horseback riding is in fact one of the most suggestive ways to appreciate the varied areas of the park which has flora and fauna for tens of kilometers along the Tuscan coastline. There are various itineraries for those interested in horseback riding starting from the briefest, which lasts only an hour and a half and gives an idea of the size of the park to the medium length ride which lasts two and a half hours and includes the most important trails. There is also a day long excursion that allows you to visit a good part of the park. La Sterpaia is the visitor’s centre in the park. Here, you can find out about the horseback riding itineraries. Besides guided riding tours, it is also possible to subscribe to horseback riding lessons. In addition, there are promotional offers for ponies and horses for beginners of all ages.
